Introducing the first album from Lord Beaverbrook;

“Critically Endangered Species”

Prepare to embark on a musical journey with Lord Beaverbrook’s debut album “Critically Endangered Species”. The album brings a new flavour of purpose and invites to reflection on the deeper themes of life. Lord Beaverbrook is a unique new rock group of four members with seasoned rock musicians and business leaders.

 

This double album collection covers 15 soulful and evocative tracks and captures the essence of human experiences while drawing listeners into a world where music becomes a mirror to life.

 

The album takes its name from the song “Dead Would You Enter”, a heartfelt homage to the endangered Snow Leopard. Yet, it also serves as a broader metaphor for humanity’s own fragility and the existential threats we face. The song “Z generation” pays a tribute to the young climate activists fighting for a better future. In their roles as both builders, visionaries and rebels, weaving love and resilience into their efforts and the song “Rain on Java” that captures the introspection and longing experienced during the pandemic. It was first recorded on a distance with more than 50 colleagues of a Swedish home furnishing company, from more than 10 countries, all in quarantine.

 

“Music has always been a personal passion of mine, a way to express creativity and express what’s really important. This double album mirrors that with lyrics that have a deeper sense of purpose, and I hope that we with the music can inspire to fresh perspectives of life.” says Jesper Brodin, songwriter and singer in Lord Beaverbrook. 

 

The album is recorded at Park Studios and Atlantis – formerly Metronome, the classic ABBA studio – and is a testament to the band’s dedication to producing a high-quality auditory experience. The team at Atlantis including the renowned Stefan Boman, is behind the mixing.

 

The release is celebrated at a private party at Atlantis Studios for friends and music industry representatives where some of the songs will be performed live on the 11th of January.
